Compare Pictures of Snowy Vancouver 2009 and Warm 2010 Olympic Weather Conditions

Downtown Vancouver in the snow in 2009If you know anything about the south coast of British Columbia – you might NOT be surprised that the most talked about conversation in Vancouver and around the world - is the 2010 Olympic weather conditions.

Did you know locals think about the weather everyday and we think we're all meteorologists?

Really.

If you'd ask me - I'd say eighty 76 percent of our winter’s are warm enough to play golf.

I find it funny how now - the world has joined our weather conversations at the water cooler.

Welcome to small talk central.

Now if you're a visitor here in BC - if you stay long enough you might hear these weather quotes from locals:

  • "Nice day today eh?"
  • "Did you hear the wind last night?"
  • "When is this rain going away?"
  • "Nice breeze!"
  • "The days are getting longer eh?'
  • "It's supposed to be nice all week eh!"
  • "I couldn't sleep because it was too hot!"
  • Among others - keep your ears open

Honestly yeah the mountains at the Olympics have been getting warm weather - but I think the warm weather will show who is mentally sharp.

Top athletes know how to adjust all sorts of conditions - including weather.

Okay time for some pictures - and you might agree by judging these before and after shots - if we could program mother nature - the Winter Olympics would have been last year.
