Mercruiser 4.3 L Oil Leak
In 2007 I bought a bayliner 192 cuddy with a mercruiser 4.3 Liter and it has a stuburn leak that mechanic could not find. It seems to be coming from the back but he has no ideas. I am taking it out for a good rip in a couple of days to look further myself because that is the only way to do things these days. Every man for themselves!
Does anyone else have this engine?

Online Boating Exam — Get Your Pleasure Craft Operator Card Now!
September 15th, 2009 was the final deadline for all boat operators to have proof of competency to operate any boat with a motor. You now require a Pleasure Craft Operator Card to operate your boat. The Competency of Operators Pleasure Craft Regulations require boat operators to show proof or risk fines of up to $250.
How did the oil leak in your Merc 4.3 L turn out?
I don't have merc, but I think my buddy has the same boat and engine as you. How did your rip turn out did you find anymore leaks?

Albert I didn't find any more leaks. It's good as new now.
The engine is finally broken in after my 3rd summer with it.
