Who Thought a Marine Conservation Page Would Cause So Much Trouble?

Awhile ago some guy said to me, "Marine conservation? Steve, how can you sit there and preach all this marine conservation crap on your website, while at the same time you have a gas filled speed boat that pollutes our waters?"

My answer to him was simple; I told him that one of my favorite organizations Greenpeace has a few speed boats.

I also told him that I needed a speed boat because:

1. I need to go up and down the Fraser River to get to the ocean. It can be dangerous without an engine.
2. I also said that I love towing people on wakeboards and tubes.
3. I need to get to our cottage up the coast. It's about 60 km away!
4. Plus other reasons...

I'm no David Suzuki, but I'll help promote simple smart things to help the environment when we're out on the water. 

Like these smart things:

Boaters who fix their oil leaks are very smart. They help marine life and eco system. Another smart thing, guests who are finished with the bag of dill pickle chips - make sure they stow the empty bag of garbage until docked.  While we're at, always tell your mates not to throw cigarette butts in the ocean, lake and waterways.
