What kind of kayak should I buy?
Hi, All-
My siblings and I are looking to buy a kayak for my dad. He's 5'11", 150 lbs and new to kayaking. I think we'd like a kayak that he can fish on, as well as just paddle. We're looking for quality that doesn't cost a fortune. (Maybe in the $350-450 range). Can you give me any ideas? I know NOTHING about kayaks but don't want to waste my money on junk.
Thanks so much!
Jen

I found a kayak that might work for your dad
Hi Jen,
What type of water will your Dad be on kayaking on? Ocean or Lake?
Inflatable kayaks are very popular right now. They are good for amature's and better than sit-on-kayaks because your Dad might fall in the water.
Alot of the fishing kayaks are sit on and can be a little shaky for beginners.
I did a bit of research for you and I found an inflatable at Amazon for you to look at. It's good for both ocean and lakes and also good for fishing!
It's a Coleman Exponent Fastback Inflatable Kayak
. Pretty good price - under $300!
