Where can I get crabs in Vancouver?
Hello anyone who is from Vancouver. I just moved here and I heard there is a bunch of crabs around. I only have a small inflatable boat but I would like to know where the best place is to drop the traps. Can anyone help a brother out?

Online Boating Exam — Get Your Pleasure Craft Operator Card Now!
September 15th, 2009 was the final deadline for all boat operators to have proof of competency to operate any boat with a motor. You now require a Pleasure Craft Operator Card to operate your boat. The Competency of Operators Pleasure Craft Regulations require boat operators to show proof or risk fines of up to $250.
Crabs in Vancouver - There is Lots

First off, welcome to Vancouver. Where did you move from?
Don't worry that you only have an inflatable boat, because the best thing about boating around Vanouver is that we're well protected by winds most of the time. I still recommend you check the marine forecast before you head out though.
There is quite a few good spots get crabs in Vancouver.
I would even reccommend going to the wharf at Jericho beach when the waters are rough and or you don't feel like going out in the boat. It can get busy so get there early on weekends. There's lots of competition there and the crabs can be on the small side though.
